God Was Never Asking You to Figure It All Out...He Wants Your Trust.

We live in a world that rewards movement. Do more. Be more. Achieve more.

And without even realizing it, we can carry that same mindset into our relationship with God. We try to “figure it out.” We rush into purpose. We chase clarity before connection.

But in Luke 10, Jesus gently disrupts that way of thinking. While Martha is busy preparing, managing, and doing what needs to be done, Mary chooses something different—she sits at the feet of Jesus and listens. And Jesus calls it the better part. Not because serving doesn’t matter. But because presence comes first.

Many of us are living like Martha. Distracted. Overwhelmed. Trying to hold everything together. We’re building careers, chasing goals, managing expectations—and somewhere along the way, time with God becomes something we squeeze in instead of something we center our lives around. But what if the issue isn’t that we’re doing too much…What if it’s that we’ve lost sight of the one thing that matters most?

In Proverbs 3:5–6, we’re reminded: Trust God from the bottom of your heart. Don’t try to figure out everything on your own.

That’s hard for us. We want details. We want timelines. We want guarantees. But God is after something deeper—trust. Just like Abram in Genesis 12, who was called to go without knowing where he was going, God invites us into a journey that requires surrender before clarity.

The Invitation Still Stands

Jesus isn’t asking you to perform. He’s inviting you to come close. To sit. To listen. To be with Him. Before the goals. Before the plans. Before the next step.

What Would It Look Like to Re-Center? What if your life didn’t start with your to-do list…but with His presence? What if instead of rushing into your day, you paused long enough to say: “Jesus, I just want you.” That’s where everything changes.
