There's Power in WE.
Life has a way of convincing us that we should handle everything by ourselves. We’re taught to “grind,” “hustle,” push through, stay strong, and tough it out alone. But that was never God’s design for us. From the very beginning, His plan has always been community — real connection, real support, and real people to walk through life with.
That’s what we kicked off this month at SHiFT with our new series, The Power of We.
God Shows Up in Togetherness
Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three gather in My name, there am I with them.” God never said, “Where one stands alone…” — He said, when we gather, He shows up.
Hebrews 10 reminds us not to neglect coming together, but to encourage one another. That’s because community strengthens us spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. We were built to belong.
The Enemy Loves Isolation
1 Peter 5:8 tells us that the enemy roams like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Anyone who has ever watched National Geographic knows the strategy: the lion never attacks the pack — only the one separated from it.
When we feel alone, unseen, or unsupported, that’s where insecurity grows. That’s where fear speaks loud. But community breaks isolation. It silences the enemy’s lies.
Everyone Needs an Aaron and a Hur
In Exodus 17, Moses was winning the battle — until he got tired. When his arms dropped, the Israelites started losing the battle. But Aaron and Hur noticed that Moses was growing tired, so they provided a seat for him and held each of his arms up. When they held him up, victory returned.
Even strong people get weak. Even leaders get tired. Even believers need support.
The question isn’t if we need support — but who is holding us up?
You Are Not Just Surrounded — You Are Counted
The servant with Elisha felt outnumbered — until God opened his eyes. Suddenly he saw chariots of fire, and an army greater than the enemy in front of them. Sometimes we think we’re alone… until God reveals that we’re surrounded.
You Are Salt and Light
Jesus said we are salt — adding flavor, influence, and impact everywhere we go. He said we are light — showing God’s love to a world that desperately needs it. Community isn’t just what we receive — it’s what we bring. We don’t just have community — we help build it.
So Here’s What We Believe:
You are not here by accident. You are not supposed to struggle alone. God placed you in a family — a body — a community with purpose. This month, let God connect you, strengthen you, and remind you: There’s power in WE.
