Who are you, really?
In Embracing the New You, we kicked off our ReWritten series by diving into the truth of 2 Corinthians 5:17:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
When you receive Jesus, you are not just improved—you are made new. The old life is gone, and your identity is now rooted in Him.
But here’s the key: stepping into your new identity requires a renewed mind. Romans 12:1–2 reminds us that transformation happens when we allow God to reshape our thoughts. Like a software update, renewing your mind installs fresh truth and blocks old attacks. The enemy can only work with your outdated programming—but when you align your thinking with God’s Word, you become unshakable.
This new life also means surrender. Galatians 2:20 tells us that our old selves have been crucified with Christ, and now He lives through us. It’s not about trying harder, but about allowing God’s Spirit to live His life in and through us.
So, what does embracing the new you look like?
-
Living from your identity, not your insecurity.
-
Letting God’s Word shape your perspective.
-
Walking in freedom instead of bondage.
Your story has been rewritten by Christ. The question is—will you say “yes” to living it?
